Maintaining our oral health can help prevent disease, pain and infections. It also plays a key role in supporting our overall physical and mental health. With so many apps to choose from it can be difficult to know which ones to choose and trust, and where to find them.
The following apps have been selected as you may find them helpful in supporting your child’s oral health
The Healthier Together website* gives parents clear and trusted advice. It contains lots of information about common childhood illnesses.
The Oral Health information available includes Oral health in children with SEND and healthy teeth which includes information on brushing teeth and visiting the dentist. Parents and NHS staff write the information, and doctors and nurses use it too. This means families get the same good advice wherever they go, helping parents feel calmer and more confident.

Brush DJ is a fun app that plays music for 2 minutes to help you brush your teeth for the right amount of time. It works with any toothbrush and was made by a dentist to help keep teeth and gums healthy.
The app gives reminders to brush twice a day, floss, change your toothbrush, and visit the dentist. It also has colourful screens and short videos that show how to brush and floss properly.

Chomper Chums is a fun brushing app for children aged 4–11. It helps kids learn how to brush their teeth properly for 2 minutes, twice a day, as well as floss and rinse.
Children choose a friendly animal (like a lion, horse, or alligator) and help clean its teeth by chasing “sugar bugs” around the mouth. Brushing well earns coins to care for their animal and win fun rewards, helping kids build healthy habits that last.
